Randy Escoto Gozum

The world has grown a bit quieter and significantly less vibrant with the passing of Randy Escoto Gozum at the age of 53 in Norfolk, Virginia. Born in the Philippines, Randy was a force of nature, known to be the life of the party and a best friend to all. If you were fortunate to meet him, he probably called you "Partna" or one of the many quirky nicknames he had for you.

Randy was a master tech windshield installer for Safelite. His coworkers knew him as an expert in class (with top windshield wiper sales) but more importantly, as someone who could bring so much joy to work and keep his co-workers laughing.

His interests were as vast and colorful as his personality - a proud owner of his hard to miss LunarRock Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro, collector of the latest Patagonia and freshest sneakers, and a movie aficionado who thought every movie was the best movie of all time. He also loved camping with his family, spinning (former spin instructor), shaking his hips on the dance floor, and just enjoying a cold one with his friends.

Randy spread love generously among family and friends. But family was everything to him. A self-proclaimed "Mama's Boy", protective big brother, and an amazing uncle who always spoiled his nephew and nieces.

Above all, he was a devoted dad who never missed an opportunity to brag about Chase and Toni-his pride and joys. His most recent passion - pickleball - brought him even closer to his son and daughter. And he treasured every minute with them.

Randy leaves behind his son Chase (Isa), daughter Toni, true love Juliette, adoring parents, Andres and Zenaida, brother Ronald, sister Rowena (Reggie), nephew Riley and nieces Reese, Rhyan, and Reya, and innumerable dear friends. His absence will be felt profoundly by them and many others.

In remembrance of a man whose warmth could light up even the dullest of rooms, services will be held at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5033 Rouse Drive in Virginia Beach on Sunday, October 12, 2025, visitation between 5:00-7:00 pm and funeral service beginning promptly at 7:00 pm.

The world is indeed a little bit colder without Randy's big smile and loving and generous spirit. He had a heart so big, it held enough love for everyone. We are immensely grateful to have shared this journey with such a larger-than-life presence.
