Randy Alan Knost, 60, of Orlando, Florida, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 13, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Orlando on February 5, 1965, Randy remained a lifelong resident of the city he called home.
Randy was a man of unwavering faith in Jesus Christ and strived to live his life as Christ-like as possible. His faith guided every decision he made and shaped the way he loved and cared for others. He placed his priorities firmly in order: first, his faith in Jesus; second, his children and extended family; and third, his strong work ethic.
A painter by trade at the space center, Randy lived, loved, and worked sacrificially. He was always ready to lend a hand, and he found joy in helping others before himself. He never carried malice, but instead offered forgiveness, compassion, and love to all he encountered. Randy was a special man with a servant's heart of gold. He met people where they were and encouraged them to come just as they are.
For Randy, a perfect day was any day spent making memories with his children-whether taking them to the movies, looking at Christmas lights, traveling to visit them, or simply enjoying quality time together. He loved riding his side-by-side, off-roading, and mudding, as well as journaling and writing heartfelt letters to his children. Sunny days often found him boating with his brother and family on the pontoon, soaking up laughter and fellowship on the water. Above all else, Randy's life was centered on his family. He also had a playful spirit and a great sense of humor-he was truly hilarious and brought laughter into every room.
Randy was preceded in death by his father, Earl Knost.
He is survived by his children-Derek (Melissa), Bekah (Nate), Jacob (Molly), Katie, Gracie, and Lexi-his mother, Gayle; his siblings, Bobby (Angie) and Kim (Joseph); his grandchildren, Lily, Landon, Brighton, River, Grayson, Abel, and Lucy Kate; as well as many extended family members whom he loved dearly and who loved him in return. He also leaves behind countless friends who will continue to cherish his memory and carry on his legacy of love, faith, and forgiveness.
A visitation will be held at North Brevard Funeral Home in Titusville on Sunday, September 21, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Another visitation will take place Monday, September 22, 2025, from 5:00 to 5:30 p.m., with the service to celebrate Randy's life beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Faith Assembly, 9307 Curry Ford Rd, Orlando, FL 32825.
Randy will be remembered as a man who loved deeply, forgave freely, and lived with his priorities clear-faith, family, and hard work. His example and the memories he created will forever remain a source of strength and inspiration to those who knew him.
