If you have any questions please call the funeal home at 812-372-9923. Randy Max Lee, a man known for his humor, generosity, and love for life's simple pleasures, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026, in Columbus, Indiana. Born on October 17, 1964, in Columbia, Kentucky, the son of Earl Lafayette Lee and Maxine Adams Lee. Randy's early years were filled with the joys of small-town life, which shaped his down-to-earth personality and strong work ethic. For a decade, Randy dedicated his professional life to NTN Driveshaft, where he worked as a forklift driver. His colleagues remember him as a hard worker who brought not only his skills but also his sense of humor to the warehouse every day. Outside of work, Randy was an avid collector with a passion for guns and knives. He could spend hours discussing the intricacies of each piece, always eager to share his knowledge with fellow enthusiasts. Randy enjoyed fishing when he had time. He found solace in the tranquility of nature. Randy's sense of humor could be found in a brief story mixed with his love for his garden. It was said that Randy had once placed some cheese puffs on top of the strawberry patch. A passerby remarked about the colorful fruit on the plant, so Randy jokingly offered him one. The passer by said, "These are stale." Randy replied with, "They're not ripe yet!" Yes, that was our beloved Randy. Music, especially from the 70s, was the soundtrack of Randy's life. He cherished the classics and could often be found humming a tune or swaying to the beat. His love for music was infectious, and he never missed an opportunity to share his favorite songs with those around him. Above all, Randy was a giving person and a loving brother. His generosity knew no bounds, and he was always the first to offer help to anyone in need. His family will remember him as a loving Father, brother, and grandfather. Survivors include his companion, Shannon Duke, children, Aaron Lee, Josh Gibson, and Tera Spurgeon; the mother of his children, Tina Lee; siblings, Marty (Brenda) Lee, Moses (Donna) Lee, Hilda Crosley, Wilda Mings and Connie Swope; grandchildren, Brayden Elgar and Atlas Lee. Randy was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Bufford Lee, Jimmy Lee, Joe Lee, Anna Smith, and still born sister, Lola Mae Lee. Memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to the American Cancer Society.
