Randy Lobue Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home of Willis on Jun. 26, 2023.
Randy S. Lobue, 70, of Houston, TX, passed away on June 24, 2023 surrounded by family. He was born to Samuel Lobue and Zannie "Sug" (Buckley) Lobue on December 22, 1952. Randy was a loving son, doting husband, generous and protective father, affectionate grandfather and genuine hero. "Family comes first" was his lifelong motto, which was evident in everything he did. He and his wife, who met and married young, have enjoyed a long and loving marriage, recently celebrating their 51st wedding anniversary.
Second only to family was his passion for the fire department and his fellow firefighters. He devoted 36 years to the Houston Fire Department before retiring as a District Chief. During retirement, he spent time volunteering at the Montgomery County Food Bank, traveling, and spending quality time with family.
Randy is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Lobue and Zannie "Sug" (Buckley) Lobue; brother, Sammy Lobue; sister, Sandra Nowak and husband Richard, sister-in-law Sharla Lobue; brother-in-law David Brown.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy; children, Sharon Thompson and husband Robert, Stephen Lobue, Shelli Breaux and husband Chasen, Sheryl Treviño and husband Carlos; grandchildren, Jamie Phillips, Ashley Thompson, Randy Phillips, Allison Thompson, Matthew Lobue, Madison Lobue, Sadie Breaux, Sidney Breaux, Elijah Treviño, Elena Treviño; siblings, Carol Willenborg and husband Ron, Joan Alexander and husband Mike, Don Lobue, Chris Lobue and wife Sue, John Lobue, and Richard "Rick" Lobue; and numerous other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Fire Fighters Foundation of Houston or the Montgomery County Food Bank.
