Randy Lee Mahon

Randy Lee Mahon, 62, of Beech Creek, WV, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2025, while an inpatient in the Logan Regional Medical Center of Logan, WV. He was born on August 18, 1962, in Williamson, WV. He was a son to James Mahon and the Late Doris Mahon. Randy was a lifelong resident of the area and a beloved member of his community.
A retired underground coal miner, Randy dedicated nearly 30 years of his life to the mining industry, where he forged many lasting friendships and demonstrated an unwavering work ethic. He was known for his selflessness, strong will, and devotion to his family.
Randy was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Mahon, and his beloved son, Dominic Mahon.
He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Helen (Prater) Mahon of Beech Creek, WV; his son, Corey Mahon of Beech Creek, WV; his daughter, Heather Mahon (Bert Gibson) of Delbarton, WV; his father, James Mahon of Beech Creek, WV; and his brother, Jamey Mahon (Lula Ann Collins) of Beech Creek, WV. Randy was a proud grandfather to Chandler Ray Adkins and Parker Riley. He is also remembered by their mother, Bethany Adkins (Kevin Spaulding) of Omar, WV.
Randy found great joy in spending time with his family and watching his son Corey and his grandson Chandler play sports, especially baseball. He was a good man who always put his family first and took great care of those he loved.
The family will gather with friends on Monday, April 28, 2025, in the Chambers Funeral Services Chapel. from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a special service beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Honoring services will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chambers Chapel with Bro. William Prater and Pastor Odis Blankenship officiating. Randy will be laid to rest at Looney Curve Cemetery, in Devon, WV with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to Chambers Funeral Services, Inc to help with funeral expenses and support his family during this difficult time.
