Randy P. Masterson
March 22, 1949 - March 20, 2025
Randall “Randy” Patrick Masterson passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 20, 2025. The family is deeply saddened and shocked by his sudden death. Randy was born on March 22, 1949, to Theodore “Ted” and Phyllis (Rowe) Masterson; he grew up in the Rochelle/Dixon area, graduating from Rochelle Township High School in 1967. Randy spent the majority of his life in Dixon and Rochelle but enjoyed his time in Minocqua, WI, the most. He was a successful insurance broker owning his independent agency, RMI Investments and Financial Services. He truly lived for time spent by water, golfing, snowmobiling, and enjoying his 10 grandchildren.
Randy had a fabulous sense of humor and enjoyed making others laugh. He will be remembered by his family for his silly jokes, funny faces, and love of a good comedy movie. He will also be remembered for skillfully leading family and friends on snowmobiling adventures “Up North” in the winter and chipping a golf ball or taking a dip in the lake in the summer. Randy was well-loved and will be fondly remembered for the countless positive moments he shared with family and friends.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Phyllis Masterson, as well as his brother, Mike Masterson. He is survived by his daughters from his first marriage to Pamela (Johnson) Baker, DeAnna (Andrew) Morris and Roxanne Hanna, as well as the daughters he gained in his second marriage to Bonnie (Supler) Masterson, Jennifer (Ben) Manning, and Laura (Joe) Wilmarth Tyna. He also leaves behind his 10 beloved grandchildren. His brother Rick (Carol) Masterson also survives.
A service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, April 5th, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Holcomb Bank community room, 233 E. IL Rt. 38, Rochelle.
