Randy Loyd Simpson, 71, of Grantsboro passed away on August 26, 2025, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.
Randy attended Word Fellowship Church, where he loved the Lord and found joy in worship and fellowship. A devoted father and grandfather, nothing brought him more happiness than spending time with his children and grandchildren. His family was truly the center of his world, and his love for them will continue to live on in their hearts.
Randy loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. Especially deer hunting, not only for the pastime of hunting but for the fellowship with his friends. The connection between the two brought people to love and cherish him.
He loved to work. He spent many years on the water crab potting or shrimping where he also made many friends. He has worked in construction, welding and could do most anything with just an idea.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents, David Bryan Simpson and Mildred Rice Simpson and his brother, Jimmy Simpson.
He is survived by two sons, Jeremy Bryan Simpson and Samuel Simpson, and wife, Dayna; the mother of his children, Tammy Simpson; his beloved grandchildren, April, Jeremy Dwayne, Zach, Mack, Skyler, Lane and Minnie; and a great granddaughter, Emma.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., on Friday, August 29th at Daniels-Sadler Funeral Home with the Rev. Blaney Rowe officiating. A private interment will be held in Cayton Cemetery, Grantsboro.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Randy will be remembered for his warm heart, his unwavering love for his family, and the simple joys he found in God’s creation.
