WESTFIELD: Randy L. Stickney, 75, went home to be with the Lord on March 11, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones after his long battle with illness, at The Aroostook House of Comfort in Presque Isle. He was born January 1, 1951 in Mars Hill, the son of Randolph and Shirley (DeMerchant) Stickney. He graduated from Central Aroostook High School, the class of 1969. He met his wife of 53 years, Bonnie Codrey in 1969 and they were married July 29, 1972. Randy worked as roofer for Bangor Roofing Co., International Paper and as a farm laborer on area farms including Ketchum Tree Farms, Pryor Farms, County Super Spuds and lastly, he enjoyed his harvests driving truck for BD Grass and Sons. He was known for his horseshoe abilities winning many tournaments. Randy had a talent for working on vehicles, having owned many cars and pickups over the years. He enjoyed playing his daily Pick 3 and Pick 4 numbers, playing cribbage, being outdoors, gardening, hunting, fishing the brook and taking pictures of wildlife and Aroostook County. He especially loved riding to the top of Mars Hill Mountain. Randy had many good times with close friends who went before him including Robert Lento, Frederick Richards, Wallace Pryor and Frank Buckley. Life slowed Randy down in 2013, but he continued to enjoy life with family and watching his grandchildren grow up following their many activities that he was so very proud of.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie Stickney of Westfield, his two children Jayson Stickney of Westfield and Jennifer McKeen of Mars Hill, and his brother Gary Stickney of Presque Isle, the joy of his life, his grandchildren Delaney McKeen, Dylan McKeen, Kyryn Stickney and Jorie Stickney.

He was predeceased by his parents by his brothers Phillip, Larry, Ronald and Leslie, and a sister, Judy.

Per Randy's wishes there will be no services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In Randy's memory any donations could be made to The Aroostook House of Comfort P.O. Box 867 Presque Isle, ME 04769 and the Mars Hill FFA Scholarship fund. Arrangements have been entrusted to Bowers Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Presque Isle.
