Randy Dale Stoddard, a longtime resident of Hollis, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
On September 17, 1955, in Syracuse, Nebraska, Dale and JoAnn Stoddard rejoiced at the birth of their only son Randy Dale Stoddard. Randy was raised in Nebraska before relocating to Norwalk, California. Following graduation Randy enlisted in the United States Air Force. He proudly served his country for over twenty years. During his time in the service Randy worked as an aircraft mechanic and was in charge of the motor pool. He received numerous awards and commendations for his accomplishments in the service. On October 16, 1976, Randy married the love of his life, Dawnita. This marriage would be blessed with two children, a daughter, Sherry, and a son, Christopher.
Randy was deployed numerous times throughout his career, to Greece, Guam, England and Honduras. Following his Air Force retirement the Stoddard family relocated to Hollis, Oklahoma. Randy worked at Dixon Kirchhoff for six years as a parts sales man. Then he worked on the A-team at Altus Air Force Base for 18 years.
In his free time, he loved working on classic cars, fishing, hunting, watching NASCAR, Westerns, and war movies. Of all his hobbies and interest his main interest was always his family. Everything revolved around his wife, his kids and his grandchildren. They truly were his world. He was a proud member of the VFW and NHRA. Randy leaves a legacy of love and devotion, not only to his family and his country but also to his Savior, Jesus Christ.
Randy was proceeded in death by his beloved wife of forty-six years, Dawnita Stoddard; his father, Dale Stoddard, his mother, JoAnn Stoddard, his stepmother, Jane Stoddard, his bother-in-law, Chuck Boley, and Jon Yowell.
