Randy G. Tuckerman

September 26, 1953 – February 28, 2026

Randy Gene Tuckerman, 72, of Napoleon, Ohio passed away Saturday morning, February 28, 2026 at The Lutheran Home, Napoleon, Ohio.

He was born September 26, 1953 in Wauseon, Ohio to the late Lloyd and Wilma (Ferguson) Tuckerman. Randy grew up in a large family of 13 children. He was the second to youngest and developed a strong relationship with all his siblings and a true sense of family.

Randy was a 1973 graduate of Pike-Delta-York High School and then continued his education and obtained a license in cosmetology at Michael's Beauty College, Toledo. He worked in the Toledo area at Regis Hair Salon and Charles Paul Salon.

Regardless of his own ambitions, Randy's greatest calling in life was being available to his family. After the loss of his father, Randy moved home to care for his mother. He remained home and while there, he was looked upon to fill another significant role in the family upon the loss of his sister and brother-in-law. He became the legal guardian for his niece, Kristi Double. He once again was there when his brother, Tim became ill and passed away. His role within his family was looked up to by his siblings, nieces and nephews. He was admired for his strength, dependability and most of all his love for others.

After the loss of his mother, he moved to Douglas, Michigan. While here, Randy worked as a hairdresser at Douglas Hair Works. He practiced his love for gardening, landscaping and the beautification of surroundings around him. Drawing and ceramics became a common practice as he pursued his artistic side. Finally after many years of his independence, he moved to Napoleon, and of course, this was to be close to his family, especially his niece, Sue Ann Moore. It was here that Randy also chose to be baptized a Lutheran and accept the Lord. He was honored to have this done by his nephew, Pastor Ron Koch.

He is survived by two sisters, Lila Mae Baum and Ella Sue Muir; sisters-in-law, Marcia Tuckerman-Dohm and Robin Tuckerman; several nieces and nephews and the generations of their families. Uncle Randy will be dearly missed by all of them.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings and in-laws, Marcene (Harlan) Miller; Marlene (Chester) Bates; Nolan (Deanna) Tuckerman; Norma Lee (William) Reckner; Harold Baum; Doyle (Judith) Tuckerman; Pauline Frankforther; Arlen Tuckerman; Thomas Tuckerman; Jim Muir; Gerry Tuckerman and Timmy Tuckerman.

Per Randy's wishes, there will be no public services. He will be laid to rest at a later date with his family at Aetna Cemetery, Winameg, Ohio.
