STOW - Michael L. Tuckerman, age 69, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025, in Akron, Ohio, at Summa Hospital. He was born at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio, on September 11, 1956.
He was preceded in death by his father, Merle E. Tuckerman; his mother, Geraldine F. (Elliott) Tuckerman; his sister, Cheryl D. Sanders, and his brother-in-law, William Sanders.
Michael is survived by his loving sisters, Suzanne Weegar (Kenneth) and Cynthia Fink (Walter); nephews, Scott Weegar (Jennifer) and Michael Fink (Nicole); nieces, Amy Weegar (Aaron Ley), Lisa Weegar and Emily Fink, as well as four cherished grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Michael was an avid sports fan and a lifelong collector of sports memorabilia. He spent countless weekends cheering for his favorite teams - the Cleveland Browns, Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Guardians (Indians) and Cleveland Cavaliers. Beyond sports, he had a deep passion for the Beatles, proudly collecting their books, music and memorabilia.
Michael will be remembered for his love of family, his enthusiasm for the teams and music he adored, and the joy he brought to those who knew him.
Our family would like to thank the nurses in Summa ICU for their excellent care, especially Erin and Christian, who helped us through a difficult journey.
A private celebration of Michael’s life will be held by his immediate family at a future date.
