Randy Ray Vanderpool

Randy Ray Vanderpool, age 64 of Cross Plains, TN passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at his home. He was born February 13, 1961 in Goodlettsville, TN to Jack Ray & Joann Clinard Vanderpool. He worked in shipping and receiving for Doorman until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and NASCAR, especially cheering for #9 Chase Elliott. He had also attended Solid Rock Baptist Church in Franklin, KY. He is preceded in death by his father, Jack Ray Vanderpool. He is survived by his loving wife of 14-1/2 years, Brenda Rigsby Vanderpool, Cross Plains, TN; mother, Joann Vanderpool, Goodlettsville, TN; son, Jeremy (Mary) Vanderpool, Mount Juliet, TN; daughters, Alicia Godina, Lebanon, TN, Tiffany (Jeremy) Greer, Old Hickory, TN, Amanda (William) Hammor, Mary (Elija Ledbetter) Thomerson, Bowling Green, KY; brother, Mike Vanderpool, Cros Plains, TN; sister, Lori (David) Russell, Goodlettsville, TN; 12 grandchildren. Funeral service is scheduled for Monday, March 3, 2025 at 12pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Bro. Tim Colovos officiating. Interment will follow in Felts Cemetery in Ashland City, TN with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation is planned for Sunday, March 2, 2025 4-8PM and Monday March 3, 2025 9am-12pm at the funeral home.
