He is survived by his spouse Roberta Michelle VanDyke, children, Darby Michelle VanDyke, Jarad Randall VanDyke and his spouse Christina Smith, and Brandi Denae VanDyke-Forille and her spouse Hunter Forille, grandchildren Xavian Micheal Jarrack Nelson, son to Sonja Ann Tom, and Connor Flick son to Alicia Shockency, and pet cats Darthy Mae and Niella. His father Walter Lee VanDyke and step-mother Carol VanDyke, sister Lisa VanDyke-Brown and her spouse Mike Brown, nieces Danille Trew, Kelsey Anderson and her spouse Adam Anderson, and his nephew Clint Brown and his spouse Emma Brown. I remember a time when Randy had just got done with a fight on the bus with Todd Burton. This was in high school. Randy acquitted himself well. I will always remember what he told me afterwards. "I am a lover not a fighter." This was how I knew Randy growing up. Him and I talked a lot in youth group. He always treated me with kindness, even though he was an upper classman. I considered him a friend.
After high school our lives grew apart. But, I will always remember, the big teddy bear that was Randy.

I look forward to sharing stories with you in heaven.

see you then.
