Funeral services for Ranny Ralph Reynolds are scheduled for 2 PM Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Bastrop United Pentecostal Church, with Bro. Dwight Fulton and Bro. Kendall Patrick officiating. Interment will follow in Causey Cemetery, under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Monday, October 6, 2025, from 5 PM until 7 PM at the church.

Ranny Reynolds, a resident of Bastrop, LA, and member of Bastrop United Pentecostal Church, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at the age of sixty-one. Ranny worked at International Paper in Bastrop for over 20 years and was always known for being a hard worker. Just like his father, he always loved to fix up old things. In his early life he enjoyed riding motorcycles.

After being injured in a wreck, he became a resident at Oakwoods of Mer Rouge, LA. He never complained about any obstacle that came his way, and always trusted in God's plan. Many residents were won to the Lord because of his unwavering faith. He was always there to lend a helping hand to his fellow residents.

Apart from his love for Jesus Christ, his family was at the center of his life. He valued them above all and was there to encourage and support them always. He often said his family was his world. He impacted many lives in his short time on this earth, and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Ranny is survived by his wife, Beverly Ann Reynolds; mother, Cheryl Frederick, and husband David; daughters, Ashley Dreher, and husband Thomas, Brittany Odom and husband Steve; sister, Ketrina Rule, and husband Kelby; brother, Darryl Reynolds, and wife Janna; Tuwana Platt (who was like a sister); grandchildren, Brilee Walker, Ashton Dreher, Dallen Walker, Arabella Dreher, Priscilla Odom, Micah Odom, Sawyer Odom; nephews, Bryan Reynolds, Kinley Rule; and niece, Kailey Rule.

He is preceded in death by his father, Ralph Reynolds; and nephew, Christopher Reynolds.

The family would also like to make special mention of David Frederick. David came into Ranny's life just a few years ago but always went above and beyond to take great care of Ranny. Thank you for making a difference in his life.

Serving as pallbearers will be Andy Richards, Bo Pepper, Benny Barton, Randy Barton, Jerry Barton, and Cole Faulkenbury. Honorary pallbearers are Dana Simmons, Ray Taylor, and Randy Stroder.

Ranny grew up as our catty-cornered neighbor. He was always the most polite young man, always friendly, eager and willing to help. I had the privilege of helping care for him at Oak Woods and he always made our work easier because of his attitude. My late husband thought a lot of him and our son, Thomas, considered him a friend. My heart goes out to his wife, daughters, and other family members. Cheryl, I miss seeing your smile and our brief visits. You are in my prayers for comfort and peace. We are thankful that you can be assured of where he is now, fully healed and blessed.
