Raquel Lopez, 64, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 2nd, 2025. She was born on May 26, 1961, in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Manuel Lopez Aldana and Maria Asunción Palos Pacheco.
Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Thursday, November 6, 2025 at Blessed Sacrament. Interment will follow in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Raquel was a woman whose love and strength shaped everyone who knew her. She married the love of her life, Carlos Arturo Lopez, on October 31, 1990, and together they built a beautiful family filled with laughter, faith, and devotion.
A proud homemaker, Raquel’s greatest joy was caring for her family. Her kitchen was the heart of every gathering, filled with the smell of her cooking, her laughter, and her gentle spirit. She found happiness in the simple moments — being surrounded by her children, watching her grandchildren play, and seeing her family united in love.
Raquel is lovingly remembered by her children Janeth Veronica Lopez, Gustavo Homar Lopez, Juan Carlos Lopez, Daniel Arturo Lopez, and Brayan Efrain Lopez, and her ten beloved grandchildren: Angela, Madeline, Carlos, Irwin, Jayden, Yaretzi, Giselle, Ady, Gianna, and Mateo.
She is also survived by her siblings Maria de la Luz Lopez, Maria del Carmen Hidalgo, Rosa Maria Chavez, and Carlos Lopez. She was preceded in death by her husband Carlos Arturo Lopez, and siblings Juan Manuel Lopez Aldana, Maria del Refugio Acosta, Jose Victor Lopez, and Lorenzo Felipe Lopez.
Raquel will be remembered for her kindness, patience, and unconditional love. Her legacy lives on through the family she cherished so deeply — a reflection of her strength, her heart, and the love she poured into every day of her life.
