Raul M. Peru, of Solomonville, Arizona, age 94, entered into the arms of Our Lord on September 13, 2023 at the Haven Health of Safford, surrounded by his loving family. He will be greatly missed and forever loved.
Raul was born May 30, 1929 to Julian G. Peru and Adelina M. Peru. He is preceded in death by: his parents, 9 siblings; his daughter, Connie P. Espinoza; and his grandsons, Aaron Peru and Joseph Espinoza.
He is survived by: his loving wife of 68 years, Josephine; his daughters, Rebecca Colvin (Tony), Mary Lopez (Tony), Margie Chachon (Sam), Lina Peru; and his son, Joe Peru (Teresa); 11 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren; and his sister, Celia Gonzales.
A mass of Christian burial will be conducted Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at 12:00 noon at St Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Safford. Concluding services will follow in the Safford Cemetery. A bereavement meal will be held in the St Rose of Lima Hall following the concluding services.
A rosary and prayers will be offered Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at 11:00 a.m., also at the church.
