He was born on June 14, 1948 in Big Spring, TX.
Raul was a devoted family man, he is survived by his wife Griselda Ramirez, their son: Ricuarte De Leon his partner Elsa Reyes; daughters: Melinda (Robert) Bentley, Alejandra (Ernest) Huitron; brothers: Robert (Roselia) Ramirez, Albert (Connie) Ramirez; sister: Lorenza Limon; brother-in-law: Gary Johnson; grandchildren: Pete De Lean, Jr, Abigale Bentley, Vivian Calderon, Jayden Bentley, Avery, Mylee, Sadie, & Marley Huitron; great grandchildren: Ricky, Charlie, Jacob, Mya, and Mateo.
Raul was preceded in death by his parents: Juan & Estefana Ramirez; brothers: Raymond Ramirez & Juan Manuel Ramirez; sisters: Carmen Johnson & Mary Lou Perez; and brother-in-law: Pete Perez.
Raul proudly served his country in the Air Force. He also worked for the Postal Service as a postman for 33 years. He loved TV Westerns and Willie Nelson music. He enjoyed painting and drawing.
A vigil service will be Friday, August 30, 2024 at 7 PM at Myers & Smith Chapel. Graveside service will be August 31, 2024 at 10 AM at Mount Olive Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tino Rosas, Orlando Rosas, Felix Martinez, Fred Jara, Jody Rodriguez, Pogie Rodriguez, Manuel Sanchez, and Frank Garza.
