Ray "Colonel" O. Davis, age 79 years, of Richmond, Kentucky died Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, Kentucky.
He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on December 20, 1945 the son of the late Raymond and Allie (Phillips) Davis. Ray was a Security Guard in Chicago, Illinois for Merchants Patrol and loved farming and collecting coins.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Kathy King; brothers, Arnold Davis, Junior Stephens, and David Stephens.
Survivors include his wife, Vicky (Hatfield) Davis; sons, Raymond Davis of Des Moines, Iowa and Beachum Davis of Whitley City, Kentucky; daughters, Kimberly Davis of Richmond, Kentucky and Victoria Davis of Richmond, Kentucky; brother, Doyle Davis of Somerset, Kentucky; 13 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2pm Saturday, August 16, 2025 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Gregory officiating. Burial will follow in the Hatfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 12pm Saturday at the Funeral Home.
