Stella Jean Newton, age 78 years died Friday, February 6, 2026 at her home in Parkers Lake, Kentucky.

She was born in The Tucker Town Community of McCreary County, Kentucky on August 26, 1947 the daughter of the late Loyd and Dollie Marie (Gibson) Tucker. Stella had worked as a waitress at the Dupont Lodge and was a member of the Day Ridge United Baptist Church. She enjoyed 4 wheeling, but her greatest joy in life were being with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Steve C. Newton; brothers, Rev. Jimmy Tucker, Mike Tucker, Arnold Tucker, Jerry Tucker, and three infant brothers, Rocky Allen Tucker, Gary Dewayne Tucker, and Nathan Harold “Buddy” Tucker; sister, Doris Ball; and grandchildren, Bradley Newton and Austin Newton.

Survivors include her sons, Lloyd Newton (Cindy), Darrell Newton, and Dewayne Newton (Kim) all of Parkers Lake, Kentucky; brothers, Ancil Tucker and Ron Tucker both of Parkers Lake, Kentucky; sisters, Lena Joyce Kidd (Steven) of Stearns, Kentucky and Kimberly Kelly of Parkers Lake, Kentucky; a special niece, Stephanie Ross of Strunk, Kentucky; sister-in-law, Sandra Tucker of Somerset, Kentucky; and brother-in-law, Alfred Ball of Strunk, Kentucky; grandchildren, Bailie Monday, Gavin Newton, Drew Newton, Kylen Newton, Jerry Braxton Newton, and Brayden Marie Newton; and great grandchildren, Paisleigh, Hero, Mia, Jeremiah, and Marlee.

Funeral services will be held 11am Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Alan Coffey officiating. Burial will follow in the Jimmy Tucker Cemetery. The Family will receive friends after 6pm Monday, February 9, 2026 at the Funeral Home.
