John Christopher Newton, 58, of Burkeville, Va went to be with the Lord on March 17, 2026. He was the son of the late Buddy Roger Newton and Betty Childress Newton; and brother of the late Al Troy Newton.


He is survived by his devoted wife, Falon Farleigh Newton; his daughters, Alana Leeann Newton and Machalia Moore (Daniela); his brothers, Kent Newton (Skip), Buddy Newton (Diane), David Newton and Jacob Newton; his sister, Cynthia Hopkins; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.


John Grew up in Amelia and graduated from Amelia High School. He was a salvage collector. He would say “ Property Preservationist” He enjoyed collecting and Christian music, but his greatest passion was billiards. He won numerous tournaments but his biggest win was the Spring US Open.


He will always be remembered for his tremendous faith and for his ability to witness to anyone who would listen about the love his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ had for all of us.


The family will receive friends Sunday March 22, 2026 from 2 to 4PM at the Staples Funeral Home, 2300 Nottoway Blvd, Victoria, Va, 23974. Graveside services will be held 11am Monday, March 23, 2026 at the Trinity Memorial Gardens in Rice, Virginia. In lieu of flowers please consider memorial donations to the Hickory Hill residents’ Activity Club, 900 Cary Shop Road, Burkeville, Va. 23922
