Ray Q. Edenton November 18, 1956 to June 5, 2023
Ray Q. Edenton, Son of A-Team Guitarist Ray Quarles Edenton passed away June 5, 2023 at the age of 66.
Ray was also a well known guitarist playing for various Artist on the road, on TV, and Recording Sessions through the years. He and fellow guitarist, singer songwriter John Carpenter formed a virtual Surf Band called "High Tide Johnny" becoming a West Coast Surf Radio favorite.
Ray spent many years in the Retail liquor business at 31-W and Center Point Liquors. He recently retired and was spending his time fishing, bowling, gardening and cooking as well as playing music.
Ray or "Q" as we called him is proceeded in death by his Mother Rita Winters Zimmerman, Father Ray Quarles Edenton, half Brother Stacy Brown as well as all Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles.
He is survived by his Sister Ronda Hardcastle, Brother in Law Gary Hardcastle, Half Brothers Frank, Don, and Steve Zimmerman, Step Mother Polly Edenton, Best Girl Friend Suzanne Bozza, Many Cousins, Bowling Buddies, High School Friends, Music Friends and work associates.
We will be having an informal gathering to celebrate his life at 6:00 P.M. Thursday July the 6th at Longhorn Steakhouse near Rivergate as part of the Monthly Gathering for The Goodlettsville High School Trojan Alumni.
In lieu of flowers, donations towards his legal and medical bills may be \sent to his Sister Ronda Hardcastle at P.O. Box 1141 Goodlettsville, TN 37070-1141.
