Ray Dean Evans, 80, of Colcord, Oklahoma, beloved husband, dad, grandpa, "Papa Ray", went to be with his Lord and Savior at his home on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, surrounded by his wife, grandson, and two daughters. He was born February 8, 1945, in Shamrock, Oklahoma, to Joe Evans and Adeline "Addie" (Willis) Evans Ray is survived by his wife of 59 years, Donna (Schnegelberger) Evans, of the home; his son, Alan (Kristi) Evans, of Kansas, Oklahoma; his two daughters: Lisa (Gary) Chamberlain, of Colcord, Oklahoma, and Teresa (Mike) Clapper, of Newport News, Virginia; grandchildren: Joshua, Courtney, Maegan, Gage, Kimberly, Destiny, Justin, Tyler, Kaytlyn, and Dalton; great-grandchildren: Kylan, Hunter, Olivia, Witten, Annabelle, Keean, Cadence, Remington, Rhylin, Roland, Breanna, Savannah, and Daxton; one great-great-grandchild, Kayson; his twin brother, Roy Evans; brother Bill (Connie) Evans; brother, Wayne (Shirley) Evans; many nieces and nephews; and his two dogs he adored, Mindy and Granger. He is preceded in death by both parents; two of his brothers and their wives: Joe and Alta Evans, and Tuscon and Liz Evans. Ray loved 'coon hunting, deer hunting, fishing, making people laugh, pulling jokes, telling riddles, and most importantly, Ray loved the Lord. Ray cherished time with his family. Working on hydraulic equipment was his career, and he was very good at it; having customers calling for his employment up to his last days. He will surely be missed by those he leaves behind. Ray's funeral will be held Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., in the Wasson Chapel, 441 Hwy 412 W., Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Guests will have the opportunity to view and visit for an hour before the start of the service. If one wishes to view, this time frame will be open to do so.
