Ray A. Novak

Ray Allen Novak, 78, of Lemont, IL passed away peacefully the morning of February 25, 2026. Born on May 5, 1947, Ray lived a life devoted to education, family, and friendship. He was a respected teacher, principal, and superintendent who dedicated many years to inspiring students, educators, and colleagues alike.

Ray is survived by his wife Elena "Egle" (Stelmokaite) of 58 wonderful years; his brother Louis; his sons and daughters-in-law Raymond and Kristin, Justin and Becky, Andrew and Jordy; and his cherished grandchildren Luke, Gabija, Jasmine, Kajus, Jona, and Daina. Ray found the most happiness when he was with his family. Outside of his work and family life, Ray had a deep love for model trains and enjoyed traveling the world. He will be remembered for his warm heart and the steady presence he brought to the lives of everyone who knew him.

Funeral services will be held on March 7, 2026, 3:00-5:30 at Petkus Funeral Home located 12401 Archer Ave. Lemont IL, 60439
