Ray L. Stemberger, 84, of Florence passed away peacefully on July 2, 2025 in his home. He was born on December 17, 1940, in Syracuse. He is the son of the late Charlie P. Stemberger and Irene Lewis-Stemberger. He is survived at the home by his wife of 63 years, Mae Homan-Stemberger. He is survived by three children, Linda and Rusty Carver, Brenda and LR Oehrke, and Danny and Stephanie Stemberger. His surviving grandchildren are Craig Oehrke, Shyla (Eric) Criner, Tasha (Greg) Zerbey, Chris (Jessica) Carver, Jessica (Jonathan) Wright, Devon (Victoria) Stemberger, Seth (Hannah) Stemberger and Sierra (Matt) Peters. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, a sister Martha Jones and two brothers Jerry and Roy Stemberger.
He was preceded in death by a brother Charles A. (aka Punkin) Stemberger and a granddaughter Whitley Stemberger.
A message he strongly lived by and wanted to share with others was John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”
A private family gathering will be held at a later date. Please keep the family in your prayers at this time.
