Ray Ephram Taylor, 87, of Colorado Springs, was born April 5, 1937, in Osceola, Nebraska. He was born to Vera Almeda Taylor and Elva Monroe Taylor. Ray passed away on January 11, 2025.
He came from Nebraska to Colorado when he was 16 with his family and worked at Union Printers Home for 12 years on their dairy. He then worked at Myron Stratton Home on their dairy and grounds for 30 years, he retired in 1999.
No one enjoyed retirement like Ray. He loved playing guitar with family and friends. Going to cripple Creek, Black Hawk, and loved watching Gunsmoke his favorite show. He loved his country music and family breakfast. He had great love for his family, his kids, and grandchildren. Ray never met a stranger, always a smile, and enjoyed life to the fullest. He was a special man.
Ray was married for 60 years to Kathleen. They had two sons, Dean, and Steve (Michelle), two grandsons, Riley, and Ryan (Amanda); one great-granddaughter, Lily. He came from a family of 11, 2 sisters and 3 brothers still living, many nieces, nephews, and a large loving family.
Memorial Services will be held at 1:00PM, Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the Faith Covenant Bible Chapel located at 1311 Columbine Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80907.

Ray was another uncle to me. Always around when I was growing. We will miss him dearly

Ray was the best Father-in-law. From, getting up early and running to get me nachos for breakfast while I was carrying both my sons, to all our many trips to the. Casinos, stopping to get ice cream at McDonald´s with his senior discount. Love you Ray, you will be missed!!
