Ray Joseph Traylor passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at his home in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 82. He was born on Wednesday, March 22, 1943, in Ponchatoula, Louisiana.

Ray is survived by his wife, Diana Traylor; daughter & son-in-law, Anita and Chris Landry, daughter & son-in-law, Lisa and Mike Morgan; siblings, Sharon Posey, Paul Traylor, Jack Traylor, John Traylor, Navarre Traylor Sr., Leroy Traylor, and Jeanette West; grandchildren, Christina Ferree (Jeff), Jessica Landry, Kaitlyn Perticone (Alex), Kayla Johnson (Christian), Klair Morgan, and Christopher Landry (Faye-Ann); great-grandchildren, Aiden Landry, Elijah Perticone and Joel Landry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Christopher Lee Traylor and Margie Whatley Traylor; sisters, Doris Payne and Ruby Vining; brothers, Glynn Traylor, Jimmy Dale Traylor, Leonard Traylor, Carlie Eugene Traylor, and Aaron Traylor. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home, 2000 North Morrison Blvd. Hammond LA. 70401, on Saturday, May 24, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 p.m.

Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery.
