Rose Clements Johnson

Rose Clements Johnson, age 79, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026, leaving behind a family who loved her deeply.

Rose was raised in the Irish Channel and later made her home in Pumpkin Center, where she spent more than 20 years with her beloved husband, Floyd "Boogie" Johnson. She enjoyed painting, crocheting, and creating all kinds of crafts, sharing her creativity with those around her. Rose retired from United Machinery Corporation after 25 years of dedicated service. She was known for her spunky personality, strong spirit, and the joy she brought to those around her.

She leaves behind her daughter, Angela Scamardo (Joe); sons, Gabby Irwin Jr. (Jonna), and Mark Irwin (Jenny); stepdaughter, Tracy Allo. She was a proud grandmother to Tasha Irwin (Gary), Nicole McDaniel (Tim), Joseph Scamardo (Alex), Matthew Scamardo (Olivia), Anthony Thebault (Liz), Colin Irwin, and Brittany Norris. Rose was blessed with 12 great-grandchildren, with another on the way, all of whom brought her great joy. Along with her sister, Carol Pace (Jerry), and her brothers, Harold Clements (Pat) and John Clements.

Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Boogie Johnson; her mother, Rose Clements; her sister, Laura "Jeanie" Smith; and nephew David Clements.

Rose will be remembered for her strength and the love she shared with her family and friends. Her spirit and memory will live on in all who knew and loved her.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Visitation from the Chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, 12012 Hwy 190 West Hammond, LA. on Thursday, March 12, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the Memorial Service at 12:00 p.m. A Committal with Inurnment to follow in St. Margaret Catholic Church Cemetery.
