Ray Dean West

Mr. Ray Dean West, better known as "Buck Shot" age 67 of Lafayette, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Sumner Regional Medical Center. Ray was born on April 15, 1956 to the late Bum and Gladys West. Funeral services with Military Honors are scheduled to be conducted on Sunday, March 24, 2024 at 1 PM from The Chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Westmoreland with Brother BJ Towe officiating. Visitation with the family will be at the funeral home on Sunday, March 24, from 10 AM until the service time at 1 PM. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Bum and Gladys West; brothers, Paul Ray and Leon West; sisters, Roberta Hammonds, Patsy Slack, Shirley Lark, Betty Samples, Nancy Maynard, and Amy West. He is survived by; wife, Stephanie West; children, Evenne West, Louis West, Amy (Jim) Garrison, Amanda Igwe, Abby Disman, Ashley (Jason) Baker, Kegan (Chris) Pollock, and Keely (Mike) Campbell; sisters, Mary Hovinga, Carolyn Neher, Susie Gregory, and Virginia Dewberry (Gary); special friends; Jeremy Hammonds, and Billy Perdue; twenty-seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
