Ray A. Whitacre, 77 of Dunbar Township, passed away, Thursday, December 25, 2025. He was born April 1, 1948 a son of the late Ray and Bessie (Thompson) Whitacre.
Ray retired from CSX and was a proud veteran of the US Air Force. He was a member of Grace Baptist Chapel and was a man of strong faith bringing God’s love to many people during his lifetime.
Ray is survived by his loving family, his wife, Joyce (VanSickle) Whitacre, children, Russell and Rodney Whitacre and Charity Stamates (Stuart); six grandchildren, Amanda, Ryan, Amber, Russell, Jr., Ashley and Alex; six great-grandchildren; his sister, Lucy Hall and his brother, Mark Whitacre.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Donna Fuller.
Arrangements for Ray are in the care of GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., Scottdale. There will be no public services. www.gjfuneral.com
