Raylene Fruin-Ardese

Raylene Fruin-Ardese, 80, passed away Friday, October 20, 2023 in McAlester. The family will welcome friends for visitation on Tuesday, October 24, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, October 25 at 1:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home with Danny Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Bache-Red Oak Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Justin Ardese, Wade Nave, Ethan Ardese, Brock Ardese, Bryce Davidson, Cahner Ardese, Tyler Jack Ardese, and Tegan Ardese.
Raylene Fruin-Ardese was born on July 24, 1943, in Vinita, Oklahoma to Raymond and Lu Ella (Friend) Fruin. Her family moved to the McAlester area when she was a baby and she has lived in McAlester and Krebs all her life. Raylene has been a beautician for 46 years and worked at numerous beauty shops in McAlester over the years. Raylene was a member of Victory Baptist Church and loved Jesus, loved people, and was a rock for her family. She also loved to play volleyball in her younger years.
Raylene is survived by two sons, Tray Ardese and wife Tammi, Bret Ardese, and wife Celena; a daughter, Joleta Ardese; grandchildren, Amanda Chronister and husband Jeremy, Justin Ardese and wife Emily, Ethan Ardese and wife Larissa, Brock Ardese and wife Kalli, Tyler Jack Ardese, Ilissa Smith, Wade Nave, Bryce Davidson, Will Ardese, Breanna Battles and husband Brandon, Cahner Ardese, and Tegan Ardese; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Sandee Bloxham; and numerous nieces and nephews. Raylene also took in dozens of children over the years needing help, feeding and clothing them and filling whatever else their needs were, children she called her bonus kids, including Julie Howell and James Williams. Raylene was preceded in death by her parents, a niece, Crystal Lu Herandy-Stapp, and a nephew, Jeremiah Bloxham.
