Rayma Jean (Littke) Balzer, 78, of Cordell, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at home on January 21, 2026. Born on February 14, 1947, to Adolph Willie and Frieda Josephine (Intemann) Littke in Clinton, Oklahoma, Rayma spent her early years in Bessie, attending school there through the eighth grade before graduating from Cordell High School in 1965. After high school, she pursued her passion for cosmetology, earning her Cosmetology License. On December 31, 1966, Rayma married the love of her life Jimmie Don Balzer at Peace Lutheran Church in Bessie. Together, they were blessed with two children, Darren Lee and Susan Renee.
Rayma cherished her career as a hairstylist and dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her work. Equally devoted to supporting Jim at the grain elevator, she handled everything from secretarial duties to climbing atop grain carts to assist with harvest. Known as a trusted babysitter for families in need, Rayma became a beloved Mom and Nana to several generations of children in her community.
Later in life, Rayma worked as a secretary for Dr. O'Halloran, retiring when his office closed in 2017. She was a constant presence at her children's and grandchildren's ball games, stock shows, school parties, and field trips-always there, always cheering them on. A faithful Blue Devil fan and supporter, she was always in attendance at every sporting event and activity.
Rayma also found joy in tending her flowerbeds and vegetable garden. Her favorite day was Sunday when her family was gathered around her dining table for dinner. She was a fabulous cook and was famous for her chocolate sheet cake. She loved the holidays and decorating her house inside and out.
Rayma will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, devotion, and unwavering support for her family and community.
Rayma is survived by her husband of 59 years, Jim Balzer of Cordell.
