Funeral Service at Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel, Walters, OK, Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 1:00 pm, with interment in the Duncan Municipal Cemetery. Viewing on Friday beginning at 9:00 a.m., with a visitation that evening from 6-7:00 pm. with viewing Saturday morning beginning at 9:00 am.
Rayma Sue Sylvester was born to Wylie Columbus and Edith Mae (Crow) Fuller on June 5, 1941 in Duncan, OK and departed this life in Duncan on March 25, 2025 at the age of 83 years, 9 months, and 20 days.
Rayma grew up in Duncan, graduating from Duncan High School. She married Dean Roy Sylvester on December 1, 1962 in Duncan, living in Walters until returning to Duncan in 1964. To the union a son, Mark, was born. She worked as a seamstress at the Haggar Factory in Duncan until 1983. She was then employed at American Express Travel for 9 years, and was proud to have been named employee of the year. She then worked for Legacy Bank from 2002 to 2011.
Rayma was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and enjoyed reading her Bible. She also enjoyed scrapbooking, cooking, and anything the grandkids were doing. She enjoyed flower gardening and taking care of the lawn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wylie and Edith Fuller; her husband, Roy Sylvester; and her brother, Wylie Fuller.
Rayma is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mark Sylvester and Lorie of Duncan; 5 grandsons, Colt Sylvester and fiancé Miriel Etheridge of Oklahoma City, Lance Lewis and Leanne of Perkins, OK, Clint Sylvester and fiancé Sara Waddell of Burleson, TX, Tanner Lewis and Macey of Glencoe, OK, and Kolby Sylvester and Tylin of Duncan, OK; 6 great grandchildren, Wesley, Aiden, Walker, Josie, Riley and Jace; other relatives and friends.
