Raymond M. Baca Sr., 87, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on November 13, 2025.
Rosary will be at 6:00 P.M., Monday, November 17, 2025, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Mass will be at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers, 2800 Paramount Blvd, Amarillo, Texas.
Raymond was born in Amarillo, Texas on April 27, 1938, to Trinidad and Victor Baca.
Raymond was very proud of being a brick layer his whole life.
Raymond loved music and welcomed company into his home. He enjoyed parties, especially during the holidays, and took pride in staying busy and working outdoors. Known for his great sense of humor, he was always joking, smiling, and sharing his happiness with others. His heart was filled with love, and he was always ready to help those around him. He especially loved decorating for the holidays and was a dedicated, hard-working man. Raymond was also a proud member of the Knights of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Trinidad Baca, his brother, Tony Malacara, who died serving his country in Vietnam, and brothers, Frank and Lupe Baca.
He is survived by his wife Mabel Baca; his daughters, Frances Lopez and husband Chris, Rose Baca; son, Raymond Baca Jr.; grandchildren, Cameron Romero, Derek Romero and Lisa Rosales-Cruz and husband Esteban; great-grandchildren, Azariah Romero, Isaiah Rosales, Azariah Cruz; brother, Juan Baca and wife Carmen of Amarillo and sister, Gloria Gonzales of Arkansas.
