Mr. Raymond Box, a well-respected man and our beloved father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle, departed this life and went home to be with the Lord on August 15, 2025. Age 75 years. He was born November 16, 1949, in Camden, AK, to the late Tommie Lee Box and Eartha Mae Johnson-Jones. He will be greatly missed by many. To know him was to love him!
He was a member of New Faith Temple and had been employed at General Motors for over 28+ years. His hobbies included watching basketball, football, and boxing, fishing, going to church, and playing the guitar.
He is survived by and leaves to cherish loving memories with his children; Raytondolyn Box, Lecretia Roscoe, and Timothy (Tamera) Holden Sr.; ex-wife and mother of his children, Brenda (Box) Ashford; grandchildren; Rayontae Box, Dennis Holden, Kolby Holden, Timothy Holden Jr.; sisters, Margaret (Curtis), Alma, Evelyn and Wilma; nieces, Monica, Taheerah, Mona, Angel (Dale), Andaja, Jameisha, Najwa, Khadijah, Binta, Takiyah, Zakiya (Mike), Nzingha, Nicki and Tammy; special niece, Shree; nephews, Raymond (Shawn), Marcus, Clarence (Tasha), James, Lee Jr.; foster brother, Bernard along with a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommie Lee Box and Eartha Mae Johnson-Jones; sister, Lurine Brown; brother, Lee Earl Sr.; nieces, Lakeshia, Ayana, Justice, and Latoya; brothers-in-law, Danny Abdul-Shaheed, Noble Ramsey Jr., Donald Patman Sr., Jeffery Harris Sr., and Cornell Jones and great nephew, Timmie Favorite Jr.
