Raymond Conley of New Kent died on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Walter Reed Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Gloucester at the age of 82. He was born on June 12, 1943, to the late Cevard and Cora (Smith) Conley. Raymond was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He retired from the Langley Air Force Base fire department and worked as a barber. He was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and gardening. He was also very outgoing and loved to laugh. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Conley. He is survived by his wife, Linda "Mickey" Conley, four children, Kathy Kennedy, Sandra Jenkins (Tom), Angela Boyd (Jay), and Steven Blevins, seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Hogg Funeral Home on Monday, August 25, 2025, from 11:00 am to 11:45 am, followed by the funeral service, officiated by Pastor Ross Davis, to begin at noon. The interment will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025, beginning at 2:00 pm at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Veterans Cemetery, with military honors. Services under the direction of Hogg Funeral Home.
