Raymond Denoyer Obituary

Denoyer, Raymond 1/19/1942 - 1/20/2023 Dexter, MI His Legacy Raymond Dale Denoyer, 81, passed away January 20, 2023, one day after celebrating his 81st birthday. He was born on January 19, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan to Leo Denoyer and Marian Ruth (Knaggs) Denoyer. After high school Ray joined the Army National Guard and was mobilized to Detroit during the riots. Ray was known as a big jokester. He especially had a fondness for dad jokes and kept his family and friends always laughing. He coached his children's little league games and loved to cheer on his grandkids at their sporting events. He played cards every day and always won, especially against his wife. Ray enjoyed hunting. His favorite place to hunt was in Montana at his Uncle George's place. Ray belonged to the Dexter Knights of Columbus, U/A Local 190 Plumbers-Pipefitters, and the American Legion Post 0557. Ray was a joy to know. Rita and family, my sincere condolences. Ray would always say there is my cousin when he would see me and my husband. He had a cousin up north who was married to my dad thru marriage. He is always joking and having fun. He will be dearly missed. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Sally Nimitz

I remember Ray as a schoolmate from long ago. He was a jokester and made me smile, but mostly he was kind. He was devoted to Rita and I send my condolences to her and her family.

Remembering Ray from school days long, long ago-St. Johns and St. Thomas. He always had a joke and had a talent for helping people feel included. He was devoted to Rita from an early age. My sincere condolences for your loss. He was a good man. Photo from 35th class reunion.
