Raymond Julius Distefano

Raymond Julius Distefano passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at the age of 64. His kind heart, sense of humor, and beautiful smile will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He faced many challenges in his life, but through it all, he stayed strong in his faith and wanted his independence, and we truly love and admire him for that. He shared a special bond with his twin brother Roy from childhood and throughout his life. Raymond will forever be in our hearts.

Raymond was preceded in death by his loving mother and father, Theresa and Roy Distefano, and his nephew, Brad Hennig.

He is survived by his beautiful daughter, Theresa Distefano Ballantyne (Blake), two beautiful granddaughters, Caroline and Ainsley Ballantyne, brothers Angelo Distefano (Tricia) and twin Roy Distefano, sisters Agnes Prevost (Carl), Cathy Gossett (Wayne), and Darlene Loria. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 9:00 am until 10:30 am.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church, 620 3rd St., Independence, Louisiana 70443, on Saturday at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at Colonial Cemetery Mausoleum in Independence, Louisiana.
