Dr. Raymond W. Doyen of Hertford, North Carolina died on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at the age of 82. He was born in Dixfield, Maine to the late Raymond Winslow Doyen and Helen Vittum Doyen.
Ray "Doc" is survived by his wife of 59 years, Carol Fuller Doyen; his son, Ray Doyen (Marnie Dominick); his daughter, Stacey Doyen Bisigano (William Bisigano); a sister, Dawn Canwell (Tim); four grandsons, Keagan Martin (Delaney), Sam Doyen (Ashley), Max Doyen, and Aidan McGonigle (Fatima); two granddaughters, Ada Bisigano and Maddie Bisigano; and two beautiful great-grandchildren that he adored.
He led an adventurous life, practiced medicine, built houses and bulkheads, and authored four novels.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Holiday Island Yacht Club, 477 Holiday Lane, Hertford, NC 27944.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial donations be made in his name to The Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America at https://raisedonors.com/myasthenia/donatenow or 290 Turnpike Rd, Suite 5-315, Westborough, MA 01581.
