Raymond Claude Harrelson

Raymond Claude Harrelson, age 88, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on December 19, 2025, in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City with Roger Deerinwater officiating. Interment will follow in Archer City Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2025, at Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

Raymond was born on September 8, 1937, in Foss, Oklahoma, to Everett Jahrome Harrelson and Gladus Huey Harrelson. He was raised with strong values rooted in faith, family, and hard work—principles that guided him throughout his life. Raymond’s early years shaped the steady, dependable man so many came to know and respect.

He married the love of his life, Angie Lee Rhodes, on September 13, 1958, beginning a lifelong partnership built on love, commitment, and shared faith.

Raymond dedicated many years of service to the City of Archer City, from which he eventually retired. Known for his reliability and strong work ethic, he took pride in serving his community and contributing wherever he was needed. His life reflected quiet service, consistency, and a deep sense of responsibility.

Raymond was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He cherished time with his family and found joy in the simple things fishing, barbecuing, and staying active in church. He was known for his steady presence, kind heart, and unwavering faith, always willing to lend a hand or offer guidance. He never met a stranger

He is survived by his loving wife, Angie Lee Harrelson; his children, Jill Williams and husband, James, Jackie Harrelson and wife, Ronda, and Jonathan Harrelson; his sisters, Earlene Kile and Darlene Haehn; his brothers, Junior Harrelson and Clifton Harrelson; his grandchildren, Rebecca Turkett (Shalin), Jhon Reynolds (Darci), Lacey Williams (Diren), Kimbra Fowler (Doug), and Zachory Harrelson; along with lots of great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Everett Jahrome Harrelson and Gladus Harrelson; his brothers, Leroy Harrelson, Leo Harrelson, and R.J. Harrelson; and his sister, Lucile Quary.

Raymond will be remembered for his unwavering faith, deep love for his family, and the quiet strength with which he lived his life. His legacy of devotion, service, and kindness will continue through the generations he leaves behind.
