Raymond A. Hermanowski

Raymond A. Hermanowski, 96, of New Britain passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, September 12, 2022 at the Hospital of Central CT, New Britain. He was the widower of his beloved wife Arlene (Henderson) Hermanowski. Born in New Britain, Raymond was the son of the late Alexander and Josephine (Mierzejewski) Hermanowski. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. Raymond was the co-owner of CT Pattern, New Britain for over 25 years. He was a member of the VFW, DAV, American Legion and the Northwestern Club. Raymond was very involved with calling Bingo at the VFW and St. Jean Baptiste Society, New Britain for many years. He was a very talented wood pattern maker who loved the Miami Dolphins and going to the casino. Surviving are his son Steven R. Hermanowski, Sr. and his wife Patti of East Hartford, his three grandchildren Steven Hermanowski, Jr. and his wife Kaja, Michael Hermanowski and Meral Aysan, Danielle McKenna and her husband Matthew, his seven great grandchildren Bella, Anna, Royce, Zoe, Jaxson, Ava and Braydon as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, Raymond was predeceased by his granddaughter Shauna Marie Hermanowski, two brothers Leo and Stanley Hermanowski and his two sisters Ann Stec and Irene Bialek. Raymond always had a smile on his face and was willing to help wherever he was needed. He will always be remembered as a loving, caring class act. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 16, 2022 at 10:00 am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1755 Stanley St., New Britain. Entombment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Friends and family may call on Thursday, September 15, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury.
