Raymond Wayne Heslop, age 74 born October 11, 1935 passed away August 1, 2010. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Marla, his daughters Debbie Chisholm and husband Gary, Cheryl Kelly and husband Mike, his sons Terry Heslop and Mike Heslop and wife Jan. He was blessed with 10 grandchildren, Nathan, Nicole, Holly, Dustin, Rachael, Kyle, Natalie, Lauren, Brian, Matthew and 3 great grandchildren Autumn, Ethan, and Ella. Also dear to him was his brother in law and sister in law Jerry and Carol Gage. Ray was born to Raymond and Mamie Heslop in Kansas City, Missouri. He was one of six children, Larry Heslop, Ronnie Heslop, Linda Doss, Marilyn Rutherford, and Gary Heslop who preceded him in death. Ray was a family man always coaching and cheering his children in all their activities and later in life he was right there at all the grandchildren’s events. He was a true Kansas City Chiefs fan. He was an avid collector and a world traveler. Service will be held at 12:30pm Thursday Aug 5, 2010 at Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas Texas 75243. Visitation will be at 11 am preceding the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his name to the Baylor Transplant Unit in Dallas, Texas.

Please accept my condolance. I met Ray on a couple of occasions and enjoyed our conversations. He was a great guy. Nicole and my son Danny spoke many times of Grampa Ray.
