Raymond Lepak Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by John F. Tierney Funeral Home, Inc. on Jun. 6, 2025.
Son of the late Carl and Alice Lepak, Raymond Lepak passed away peacefully at his home on June 5, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Ray met the love of his life, Karen, in high school and soon after married- beginning a partnership that would span over 61 years. Their love was full of humor and adventures that built a home, a family, and a lifetime of shared memories. Ray often said that meeting Karen was the best decision he ever made.
Ray had a brilliant engineering mind and got his start at Pratt & Whitney, where he was selected for the prestigious 4th Year Apprenticeship in Tool & Dyeing. He quickly mastered the trade, and that expertise became the foundation for his dream: starting his own company. Ray founded Liberty Calibration, which he successfully ran for many years. True to his values, he built flexibility into the business - instituting "company holidays" so he could prioritize what mattered most: his family.
Ray was a man known not only for his intelligence and work ethic but for his sense of humor - he always had a joke for every occasion. Ray could fix absolutely anything. Upon his retirement, Ray proudly passed the business on to his son, Tim Lepak, ensuring that Liberty Calibration would continue as a family legacy.
Ray is survived by his devoted wife, Karen Lepak; his daughters, Paige Schwartz and her husband Jeffery of Westport, CT, and Darlene Borré and her husband Alex of West Hartford, CT; his son, Tim Lepak of Farmington, CT, and his dog Murphy.
Predeceased by his brother, Ron Lepak, he leaves his sister-in-law Kathy Lepak and many nieces and nephews.
Ray also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Ally Schwartz, Dani Schwartz, Lila Borré, and his favorite grandson, Ben Borré. Though Ray and Ben never shared a spoken conversation, their connection was profound and beautiful. Inspired by Ben, Ray received national recognition for playing Sensory Santa for children with autism.
Ray built his life from the ground up through hard work, humor and contentment for life. He didn't need recognition to make an impact - he showed up, every day, for the people who mattered. And we're going to miss him deeply.
In lieu of flowers, live your dream life and be kind to someone else today.
Calling hours will be held at John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 W. Center Street in Manchester, on Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 3-5 p.m. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
