Mr. Raymond was our call, or go get Mr. Raymond. He was the fix-everything handyman. Our mom would ask Mr. Raymond to fix things around the house, and being a very patient and friendly man, he helped us.
I remember one time, Mom asked him could he fix the screen door and the screen on our front porch. Later on that day and into the night, no more mosquitoes, and he even changed that burnt-out light bulb. Our nighttime fun began.
Our mom has passed on now, but we know she'll be thrilled to see Mr. Raymond in heaven. My siblings and I will genuinely miss our call-up or go get Mr. Raymond. The truly fix everything handyman. May God bless and rest his soul.
