Raymond "Lurch" Peralta, a great carpenter known for his incredible framing skills, passed away on August 15, 2023, in his hometown of Tucson. Born on November 8, 1965, in the same city, Raymond's life was one filled with love, generosity, and a deep passion for his family and friends.
Raymond will always be remembered as someone who found great joy in being surrounded by loved ones. Nothing made him happier than spending quality time with his family and friends. Whether it was engaging in lively conversations or simply enjoying each other's company, Raymond's presence brought warmth and laughter to any gathering.
His helpful nature was evident to everyone who knew him. Raymond had an innate ability to sense when someone needed assistance and would readily lend a helping hand without hesitation. Whether it was fixing something around the house or offering a listening ear, he was always there for those in need. His selflessness and kindness served as an inspiration to others.
Beyond his carpentry skills, Raymond had a diverse set of interests that enriched his life. He had a deep love for drawing and spent countless hours creating beautiful artwork. In addition, he enjoyed going on bike rides which brought him closer to nature while allowing him to stay physically active. Raymond also found solace in solving crosswords and reading newspapers—activities that stimulated his mind and kept him informed about the world around him.
One of Raymond's proudest accomplishments in life was undoubtedly his children and family. He cherished every moment spent with them, nurturing their growth and providing unwavering support throughout their lives. His children - Niko, Michael, Johnny Ray, Nicholas Yanez, Brianna, Cassandra - were a constant source of joy and inspiration for Raymond. Furthermore, his loving relationship with his seven grandchildren filled him with happiness beyond measure.
Raymond will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him; the void left by his passing will be impossible to fill. He is survived by his parents, Delfina and Alex Peralta, who nurtured him with love and care throughout his life. Raymond's siblings, Freddy, Alex, and Denise Peralta, were not only his brothers and sisters but also cherished friends who shared many precious memories together.
In addition to his immediate family, Raymond's girlfriend Vicky held a special place in his heart. Her unwavering love and support were a constant source of strength for Raymond.
Although Raymond has left this physical world, the impact of his remarkable life and genuine kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched. He will forever be remembered for his skilled craftsmanship, loving nature, generosity, and the countless lives he positively influenced.
