Raymond MacCallum, 75, of Newbury, passed away surrounded by his

loving family on August 10 th , 2025. Ray battled a long illness with dementia

and is now at peace.

A devoted husband to his beloved wife, Stephanie (Wood) of 40 years, and a

wonderful "Dee" to his two daughters, Lucy Hare, and Jody Leonard, Ray

lived his life with quiet strength, unwavering commitment, and a deep love

for his family.

Originally born in Lynn, his family moved to Swampscott and Ray became a

graduate of Swampscott High School, where he excelled on the football field.

He carried that same discipline and determination into his career, working

hard to build and run his own successful business, North Shore Chimneys.

Ray was a man of few words but many actions. He showed his love through

his hard work, his steady presence, and the life he built for those he cared

about most. He never missed an event for his girls, and was always there to

support them. Dee was the first person to show up at the hospital when his

grandchildren were born.

Ray was happiest just being with his family, on the golf course (playing,

walking the dogs, or hunting golf balls in the off-season), and enjoying great

times with friends.

He will be remembered for his integrity, work ethic, and steadfast devotion to

his family. His loved ones take comfort knowing he is now free from

struggle.

In addition to his wife and daughters, Dee leaves behind their families: Hobie

Hare, Henry and Piper Hare; Eddie Leonard, Layla and Johnny Leonard.

Everyone will miss their Pop.

A private celebration of life is planned for September 20 th , at the family home

in Newbury.

Raymond you were an amazing client that I really enjoyed. To watching old shows and laughing at the silliest things was a past time. Walking around the yard watching you water the garden and enjoying being out side with peaches. I am going to miss those moments with you rest easy my friend.

Your cna friend,
Susan
