McAdams, Raymond Leo age 88, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on Dec 28. He was born in Battle Creek, MI on Aug. 19, 1937 to Leo and Mildred (nee Stein) McAdams. On June 20, 1959, he married Greta Greenfield. Ray enjoyed genealogy, photography, caving, growing vegetables, entertaining friends and neighbors, giving public educational lectures on various topics, traveling and helping others. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and half-brother, Larry Payne. Ray is survived by his two sons, James (Vicki) and Brian (Tracey) and grandchildren, Sarah (Luke), Ryan, Twila of Baltimore, MD area and Joel of Shrewsbury, PA and Lillie (Matt) of Minneapolis, MN, one great granddaughter, Aurora; a half-brother, Eldon of Battle Creek, MI and a half-sister, Lois of Longview, WA. Raymond earned a Master's degree in Biology from the University of Michigan. He was a member of the National Speleogical Society and assisted in the mapping of Mammoth Cave. Following cremation in Minnesota, he will be laid to rest beside his wife in Memorial Park Cemetery in Battle Creek at a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, the family requests considering donations to the non-profit Dementia Society of America (dementiasociety.org).
