Raymond D Mundy Jr. was born on June 19, 1936, and he passed away on December 7, 2025. He was a dedicated family man who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. Raymond took great pride in being actively involved in his family's lives, never missing his kids' activities as they grew up. He coached his children in little league baseball, passing on his love for competition and sportsmanship.
Raymond had a passion for horses and loved riding them, often enjoying competitive rides with his kids. His love for the outdoors was further exemplified by his interest in coon hunting, which he enjoyed during his leisure time.
He leaves behind his children: daughter Faye Lynn Vaughn (Richard), son David Mundy (Vicki), son Ray Mundy (Nancy), and son Tommy Mundy (Barbie). He is also survived by his grandchildren: Dana, Stephen, Michael, Keri Beth, Ray Jr., Katie, Brittany, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Raymond was preceded in death by his mother, Mattie Ester Mundy; his father, Raymond D Mundy Sr.; his wife of 66 years, Helen Faye Mundy; and a grandchild, Lee Mundy.
Visitation will take place on December 11, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on December 12, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Harpeth Hills Memory Garden, Funeral Home, & Cremation Center in Nashville, TN.
