Raymond J. Rischette, age 80, of Barron passed away on December 29, 2023.
He was born on November 1, 1943 in Barron to his parents, Frank and Catherine (Feidt) Rischette. He went to school in Barron where he was an active member of the FFA. He graduated in 1961. After graduating, he joined the National Guard.
On July 9, 1960, he married his wife, Carol Seemann. They purchased and ran the family farm for over 40 years. Even after selling his farm, his passion for farming never changed. He continued to crop farm with his two sons. He enjoyed driving tractor, hunting, going to church doing hands on work and spending time with his family. He was always willing to lend a helping hand when needed. Even when it was snowing and freezing cold, he would be there with his tractor to pull them out of the ditch.
He was on the Sterling Bank board and a Town Chairman for Arland
Ray is survived by his wife, Carol; children, Troy (Stacy) Rischette, Jody (Kevin) Thill and Dean Rischette; he was the grandfather to Frankie (Brittany) Rischette, Johnny (Lakan) Rischette, Nicole Rischette, Tyler Rindsig, Tiffany (Jesse) Hall, Destin Rischette, Brooke Lipka, Maddie Rischette and Ashley (Andrew) Wickenheiser; he was also a great-grandfather to 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service for Ray Rischette will be held on Friday, January 5. 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Barron. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
