Raymond August Seys

Raymond Seys, age 84, of Mankato, died on March 21, 2025 at Mayo Clinic Health System, Mankato.

Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, St. Clair. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at church. Burial will be at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, St. Clair. Northview-North Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Raymond was born on October 8, 1940 in Mankato to Henry and Irma (Jongbloedt) Seys. Raymond graduated from St. Clair High School in 1958. He served in the United States Marine Air Reserve. Raymond earned his Master’s degree in Business from Mankato State University. He was a professor in the School of Business at Mankato State University, worked at Superpower in Eden Prairie, and then was an information specialist for Region Nine Development Commission. Raymond enjoyed watching and playing tennis. He loved sports cars, especially his 1967 corvette. He was a car racing enthusiast.

Raymond is survived by his siblings, Margie Hoppe, Stan (Jan), Dennis (Catherine), Paul (Nancy), James, Susan (Louis) Schweim, Judy (David) Farm, Richard (Patsy), Joyce (Mark) Gens, Roger (Sue), and Randy (Laurie) and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Francis; brother-in-law, Mike Hoppe; and nieces, Brianna Seys and Sarah (Gens) Klein.
