Raymond William Sprecher Jr 72, of Smithsburg,MD, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2025 at WellSpan Waynesboro Hospital, Waynesboro, PA.
Born June 27th,1952 in Hagerstown. He was the son of Raymond Sprecher Sr, and Charlotte Sprecher both deceased.
Ray graduated from Smithsburg High School class of 1970.
He was employed by the Western Maryland Hospital Center in Hagerstown, MD for 20 years, working as a Boiler room engineer in the maintenance department.
Raymond was also a military veteran serving in the Air Force during the Vietnam war.
Raymond was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years Carolyn Louise Sprecher, daughter Kimberly Van meter.
He is survived by his two sons Matthew Ray Sprecher and Bradley Gene Sprecher with wife Marisa Sprecher. To adopted sons Richard Lee carbaugh and Kevin Lynn Sanders, one adopted daughter Jeani Marie Sanders. 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. And his sister Linda Baker.
A funeral service will be held Friday, April 25, 2025 at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD, with Pastor Mark Curran officiating. Interment will follow in Smithsburg Cemetery.
A viewing will be held one hour prior.
